The Mother Ships AKA Pods are the leaders of the Manti and Irata swarms. They are the most rarely seen member of the swarm.
Characteristics[]
The Mother Ship is a spherical form. It has several colored parts around it's main spherical form which is a pinkish-purple color. When a certain ammount of Manti and/or Irata are destroyed they appear and attack. They can shoot blasts in their main form but the real danger is when they're shot at which point they split into several organisms called Swarmers.(see that article for more info) They appeared in groups which steadily increased in number with each attack.

The First Swarm[]
When the first Manti Swarm attacked the Irata attacked with them. After much of the swarm was destroyed Mother Ships/Pods started appearing. And as the conflict continued they became more and more common, but never appeared in groups of more than four.
